Goku Black is a primary antagonist in the "Future Trunks Saga" of Dragon Ball Super. He is visually identical to Goku, but possesses a vastly different personality and agenda.
His true identity is Zamasu, a North Kai and later Supreme Kai apprentice from Universe 10. Deeply disturbed by mortals, Zamasu sees them as a blight on the universe who hinder true progress.
Through a series of complex events, including the use of the Super Dragon Balls, Zamasu first swapped bodies with Goku, becoming Goku Black. He then travelled to Future Trunks' timeline to enact his "Zero Mortals Plan," aiming to eradicate all mortal life.
Goku Black's power stems from Goku's Saiyan physiology and Zamasu's godly power and techniques. This combination allowed him to achieve unprecedented levels of strength and eventually attain the Super Saiyan Rosé transformation.
He poses a significant threat, pushing Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks to their limits. His twisted sense of justice and immense power made him one of the most formidable and morally complex villains in the Dragon Ball franchise.
